Our 2 hour KIDS ONLY group lesson is for 7-15 year olds, the lesson includes all equipment and expert instruction in really small groups.

This lesson has been designed to provide education, maximum fun and safety for your kids. We cover the basics from warm-up to paddling, catching waves and standing while also catering to intermediate and advanced students (technique refinement and style improvement). Your kids will also learn important surf and safety rules including info on rips, tides, sandbanks and waves.

We are a COVID safe business and health and safety is our number one priority.

A new chapter has begun and we are excited to share we are now known as the ‘Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary’, formerly known as ‘Macadamia Castle.’⁠

Over the next 12 to 24 months you will see changes as we shift towards becoming a bio-park, with the priority to respect, protect and enjoy Australian Native Wildlife. ⁠

Working alongside our partners to increase awareness and preservation, this will include structural and aesthetic upgrades, as well as habitat advancements for resident wildlife.⁠

We continue to offer an interactive wildlife experience, café, and unique retail, with a focus on locally produced and sustainable gifts. ⁠

Byron Bay Skate School

Established in 2013, Byron Bay Skateboard School seeks to be the vehicle which assists to propel and promote skateboarding’s positive, creative and unique lifestyle. We deliver professional skateboard lessons for all ages, levels and styles.

BBSS’s creator Flavio Biehl has been skateboarding since 1984 and has participated in many competitions within Australia and overseas. Coaching, teaching and sharing his love for the sport has gradually become his mantra.

FARM KIDS SCHOOL HOLIDAYS | MINI FARMERS #1

MONDAY 16 JANUARY 2022

9am – 3pm | ages 5 to 15 yrs.

The kids become mini farmers and after a detailed tour get set to work doing farm chores. We collect eggs, restock our pet chickens bedding, ensure they have fresh water and clean out the coup. We work on our dedicated Farm Kids garden plot and tend to our onsite worm Subpod. If the opportunity arises, we assist the farmers with their chores. They forage, cook, make natural products, create and see where their food comes from as well as experience countless opportunities to learn about teamwork, community, and ethical farming practices.
